Why Test?
EW Regulations 1989 requires all employers to take precautions against the risk of death and personal injury from electricity in work activities.
The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 states that under UK law, employers are responsible for ensuring the health and safety of their employees and public, if they are at risk from those activities, including electrical safety.
BS 7671; 2001 states that electrical systems should be periodically tested and inspected, at recommended intervals, to determine whether they are in a satisfactory condition for continued service.
